Hi Linda

I just wanted to say thanks for sending us your surplus cushions and headgear. We've already given out one of the cushions to someone who was struggling with a split cushion. We really do appreciate this and so did the person we helped Thanks also for paying for the postage.

Hi Linda. Due to the way some of the manufacturer package their masks, eg multiple sizes of cushions, some clinics just hand the whole pack out to the patients, and then there are others that are more resourceful in that they take out the unwanted sizes to keep them for other patients. There's certainly some wastage in the NHS!

Thanks for forwarding them on to us as we'll certainly see they go to a good home, and do let us know if you would like us to refund the postage.

Thanks Kath and I will forward the spare masks on as you have suggested. It seems very wasteful that my NHS provider gives me a pack which I believe costs well over £100 when I only require one mask. Do you know if this is generally the case with the NHS as it is a terrible waste of money.

It's good when people purchase them when unsure of their size, but wasteful otherwise. You can send them to our Hope2Sleep Charity who run this forum and address is on the contact page https://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/contact.html as we regularly help people with distress. Alternatively you could offer to swap them on the Buy/Sell/Swap section of this forum.
