My Philips respironics is mibehaving and I am on holiday. Hoping someone can help.

My APAP machine has been my best friend until two nights ago. It suddenly started to blast me with constant pressure and kept me an hubby awake all night long. I have to add I have a rotten cold and sore throat too.

Last night when putting my mask on I noticed the screen showed lots more information than usual. We had a very rough landing and it did bounce as did we all. Then in the airport a member of security knocked hubby over and the machine hit the ground hard.......Then last night I tried to sleep with the blasting at me, for some reason it feels worse than my old CPAP. I couldn't use humidifier as we only had tap water. Last night here. We are in an apartment tomorrow. And I woke at 2.30 with nose bleed which lasted until 6am! Now feeling even more sorry for myself and wondering if anyone can help me get a decent night's sleep and possibly reset the machine.

Judith, in a case like this, when you need to assess if it's actually damage or just a re-set you need, I would recommend you make a call to Philips Respironics. Tel 0800 1300 840 which is reception and  then ask to speak to the Technical Service Team.

"I previously had a DeVilbiss Sleepcube and the dehumidifier did sometimes run dry.  On the other hand I now have an AirSense 10 and it never runs dry, and I've had the humidity turned up high."
