Hi
I'm using the prisma smart max machine. Initially I was just on a nasal mask, this changed as I was sleeping with my mouth open. I then went to face and nose mask and complained of bad wind and belching. Sometimes the pressure in the night was waking me up too. They reduced my max level to 15cmH2o. They said they're reluctant to go lower but I feel my mask pressure is waking me up. Sometimes I'm awake and breathing normally but it's still forcing air inside me!
I'm unsure what to do. I'm using 2 pillows and usually sleep on my side.

Hi
It sounds like you need to have more conversations with your sleep clinic. There's little point in having a high pressure if it means you cannot tolerate the machine. There's an interesting video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6_NHkXgSRU and the same channel runs a website where you can upload data, if that's your sort of thing. I'm quite analytical, and for me the more I understand what's going on, the more I can accommodate it. Happily my severe sleep apnoea (86 events an hour) is treated with around 8cmH20. I also ingest air, more so with my Resmed machine than the previous DeVilbiss one. The clinic tried reducing pressure but although my AHI worsened a little, my bloating didn't, so I asked them to put the pressure back. From what I hear, the Prisma is a good machine. Good luck!
Jonathan.
