I am considering either buying or renting an AirMini for a forthcoming holiday this month where I will be sharing a twin room. I have read that they’re quite noisy and I don’t want to waste my money on either rental or purchase if the noise level could be disturbing for the other person. If anyone here is using this little travel machine I would love to hear your views. My Somnowell MAD which I normally travel with is no longer fitting me comfortably and will cost more than the AirMini to replace so it seemed to be a more cost effective solution to switch to using an AirMini, but not if it’s going to be a lot noisier than my AirSense F10.

No personal experience, but CPAP.com review of AirMini
The AirMini runs at about 30 decibels, which is about the same sound level as a whispered conversation. For comparison, full-sized CPAPs tend to run around 26-28 decibels. Due to their compact size, travel CPAP machines often have less sound-dampening material, so while their decibel ratings on paper are similar, travel machines will typically sound louder than their full-sized counterparts.
