Merry Christmas all,
Ok my CPAP pressure is currently at 15. I've noticed along with the chipmunk cheeks, breathing out is slightly harder. So is there a standard setting for the EPR when set at 15 air pressure.
Not really, just go by the numbers of 1 is slight relief and 3 is the maximum relief.
There is a slight knock on effect, but I wouldn't worry about it, if you have an APAP it will compensate for it anyway.
If you have a CPAP, you might not notice anyway, the best ideal is just set it for your comfort, if you need 3 you need 3.
All it is doing is dropping the pressure when you breathe out. The people that use Sleepyhead say it makes a difference, but to most people it make no or so little difference I doubt you would ever notice.
So set it for what you need, the lower a number the better, but of you need the maximum relief just use it.
Sometimes it will affect the seal you get on some masks, but if you find this, just set it for a lower number and less relief.
