Sleep Apnoea Forum Bringing Help + Support to the Patient

Hi

I was wondering if anyone has used this mask as I am thinking about asking for this mask when I am due a new mask in October as I have the Quarta Air which I not getting on it that well so currently  I'm using Fitlife and Perform full face mask. I am getting sores around the mouth area because of sweating and also dribbling from the left side of my mouth.  For some reason I only dribble from the left side of the mouth and I dont know why but I am slightly weaker on that side of the body.

1. How did you find the mask?

2. What was the fit like?

3. Was easy to keep clean?

4. How often did you need to replace the cushion?

5. How easy was it click together?

6. Did you find that it leaked a lot?

7. Would you recommend it to someone else as a good mask?

8. How easy is it to click the clips on to the mask? (Especially if you have problems with your hands)

9. Does the NHS supply these masks?

Hi I received my mask liner for my mask.  I have solved the leak around eyes but still getting higher leaks with the liner than when I was use the fitlife mask.  I was finding with the fitlife mask was leaving a deep mark on the left side of my face. I need to get a larger head gear for that mask as the one I have which might help with the marks.

HiDee
I have found with my Simplus mask that it needs to be fairly high on my face.
I wear it so that the bottom of the mask is about a centimeter above the bottom of my chin.
It makes a difference what pressure your machine is operating at. If it is high then it's harder to stop the leaks. Are you on automatic or fixed pressure? And how long is your ramp time?

I've had a Simplus since launch, it's by far the best I've had yet for a full face mask, less fiddly that the Quattro FX and very light. I don't use it a lot (only when I can't get comfortable with a nasal interface) as I use it when hay fever or congestion makes nasal breathing hard.

It's very easy to maintain and easy to click together and adjust even in the dark. F&P use a material for their masks that seems to last ages and responds well to cleaning.

I use the Simplus every day and its the best mask I have ever used . Its even better than my old favourite ZZZ mask and that's saying something.

I initially had problems with the headgear but the replacement is much better and rarely needs any adjustment. The cushion is pretty bomb proof and as symmit says cleans well. I cant see F&P having to sell many spare parts.

My only criticism, and that's minor, is that I always seem to twist the top headgear when I put it on .
