It's my pleasure Debbi-Jayne, and like you I was stuck in avoiding the rain even though the poor dogs were going mad I was delaying their walk I'm just going to send you a quick email before bed......
Yep - dogs are definitely the love of my life too and both hubby + I love collies as well and were debating whether to get one before getting our newest labrador puppy. Hope we can get you sorted, as you certainly need more energy with all those furry friends around you. Right, here goes with my reply......
Firstly, read my brief story over on the main website, and believe me if it were not for the fact of my own Mum being an untreated sufferer of sleep apnoea + dying at the young age of 49, I would have given up too http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/page/my-story
I'm sorry to hear your hospital weren't sympathetic to you as support is the main ingredient for success. Getting the 'right' mask is the most important part of successful therapy and I wrote a blog last year to help with choosing the right one http://www.sleepapnoeablog.com/choosing-a-cpap-bipap-masks-for-sleep-apnoea/ Take a look at the other posts over on the blog too, as there may be more help on there for you.
As you're aware, apart from you feeling lousy through not getting proper sleep, untreated sleep apnoea can lead to all sorts of other conditions, and I promise you that you've come to the right place for support - we NEVER give up in helping people and I tell you, I wish there'd been this kind of support when I started out.
Hang in there Debbi-Jayne 'cos soon you'll have the energy to give them dogs the best life they can have. In fact you might even find they can't keep up with you
Welcome to the forum Debbi-Jayne Firstly, on looking at your profile pic I want to say how jealous I am of you being surrounded by so many lovely dogs - we have 2 labradors and I'd have more if I had my way lol.
Anyway, I saw on your sign-up form you say you've tried all the masks. Does that mean you're struggling?
Best Wishes
Kath
