"Great Lee as at least you know and it's good your CPAP therapy is going well :) Even if rounded down it's still moderate OSA lol, and this was just based on one night so other nights it could have been higher or lower. The important thing…"

"Agree with you Lee and we always point out to people that it's 'sleepiness' the Epworth scores on. Glad you didn't have an accident with the micro sleep, and of course this could certainly be due to the untreated sleep apnoea,…"

"Hi Lee Papworth are correct that it is not the decision of the BUPA doctor to tell you whether or not to drive. The rules have changed as in my day when I got diagnosed many years ago, all of us had to stop driving if we'd been diagnosed with…"

Hi Everyone, I am looking for someone who really knows how the DVLA  / driving works with regards to OSA. Apologies if this is a little long winded but i need to explain this as accurately as I can.In the summer I had what I can only describe as a microsleep in the afternoon whilst driving home which momentarily caused me to drift into the oncoming lane - which thankfully was empty. As a result I went to my GP who ordered blood tests and referred me to my local hospital sleep clinic to test for…See More

"Did you try a sleeve for the tube, Jonathan? For rain out? I got one off ebay for a few quid and I think it helps. It's a fleece sleeve  you zip over the main tube."

"An apnoea or hypopnoea of less than 10 seconds won't be reported as an event, in the same way they're not reported on a sleep study, as that's the cut-off point."
