I am planning to buy and pick up a Resmed S9 Hi5 AutoSet CPAP from someone who says he has never used it: it's brand new. The price is $600.
Any suggestions on how to ensure that the machine is in good condition, etc., when I pick it up? Obviously, I plan to plug it in, try it out, etc., etc. The machine isn't returnable (obviously) so I wonder if anyone has advice on how best to proceed. I'd certainly hate to buy a $600 brick.

Hi ZolliStar. It sounds good you're able to go to check out the machine before purchase. Yes I would definitely plug it in to try it out first and if it's never been used I would ask for the receipt and guarantee if it's still under warranty. I'm sure you'll easily suss out if it is brand new and it would be worth asking why they're selling it after paying for it! Good luck
