Yes Pete, I agree 100% with your comments, and on top of this people who don't have sleep apnoea and spend a lifetime robbing their body of sleep are also prone to brain damage (dementia/alzheimers). Margaret Thatcher was a prime example of this!

But given that OSA causes oxygen desaturations, I guess it's no surprise that it also damages the brain. Still, the very good news is that cpap treatment can reverse the damage.
So both findings provide further reasons to adhere to cpap therapy and to encourage other people with OSA to do so too.
