Hi,
Ive been diagnosed with OSA for 3 years and have generally got on well with my mask. I use a Philips Wisp. Just recently I have been getting what I presume is condensation inside my mask, I have a Humidifier attached to my unit and I am wondering if this is causing my problem. Any Ideas ?.
Thanks

Alan, this is a really common problem for us and if you've had the humidifier for a while it's good that this has only recently started happening. It's caused by the heated humidified water hitting the cold tubing and in the UK it's more of a problem during the winter months. It's normally easily sorted though with a Hose Cover which insulates the tubing http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/products/28 For the Wisp Mask you also need one of the 16" Mini Hose Covers so that the full length of tubing is protected. These are on this link http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/products/28
Also try to get your hose elevated so that any water (which we call 'rainout') will drip back down into the humidifier tank rather than into your mask. There are even CPAP Hose Lifts available for this http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/products/9
I remember years ago when it first happened to me, and I was dreaming I was drowning, but when I woke to feel water dripping into my mask I realised it wasn't a dream lol.
Thanks Kath,
My hose covers arrived today so I'm looking forward to sleeping without a swimmers nose clip tonight LOL
