Sleep Apnoea Forum Bringing Help + Support to the Patient

Hi all

I was reading a forum post that mentioned some free data software which allows you to read your SD Card from your CPAP machine. Im sorry if someone has already posted about this free software.

The software is called sleepyhead http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyhead/ it is still under development but might give you some Insight in what is happening with your treatment. It will also download data from your oximeters.

Key Features

  • Free Cross Platform CPAP Review Software
  • Fast, Interactive Mouse Controlled Graphs
  • Supports Philips Respironics System One Machines
  • Supports ResMed S9 CPAP machines
  • Supports DeVilbiss Intellipap + Sleep Cube machines
  • Supports Contec CMS50 Oximeters
  • (Fisher Paykel Icon support coming soon)

I've found it quite interesting looking at my data this morning, and it hasn't cleared my card so it seems safe.

I asked about that one but he hadn't got it yet… hopefully i'll get a chance to get one when he gets his supplies.. i think I have the next best one to try this time in the comfort gel blue.

I would have loved for the Fit Life to have worked for me, it was comfortable but the noise from the leaks when i moved my head were getting on my nerves and found i was fighting all night trying to stop the leaks!! xx

Roz B, yepp, SleepyHead works beautifully on a mac! If you want to see it in action, I did a quick little video on how it works:

Using SleepyHead on a Mac

I struggled to find a good resource to view the data and wanted to share with everyone. From what I'm told it's similar to Encore Pro 2, but his version is free!

This is quite interesting, does it work on a Mac too, or is it just window's software?

When i was chatting to philips the other day they said if my consultant gives permission  they will send me teh info from teh card, but it would be easier to take it off myslef… assuming I can understand it lol

Thanks for posting xx

Thanks Richard, i havent decided to go down that route for now as Philips are kindly sending me the print outs from my SD cards when they are recalled. Its all very interesting as you feel more in control when you see whats happening. I'll check out your video though. thanks xx

just too k a look at your site, but cant see the video. I'm having problems with adobe flash so that may be why. I've given it a go using Firefox and it looks really impressive. i'm going to see if I can download it now. Thanks for posting the info xxx

guess what i;ve been playing with :) got it al installed. How much extra you can see is amazing.

Thans for encouraging me to use it… i needed that push :) thanks xx

Thanks again Richard for your imput on here.  I also have the Encore Pro 2 and have found the SleepyHead to be spot on in accuracy.  We also sell the Encore on our website www.hope2sleep.co.uk but will never be rich, as I keep telling people about the free product :D

I'd previously looked on Youtube for some videos, but hadn't found any.  It might be worth you putting your video on there as well as I reckon it would be popular.

Let me know if you do any more OSA related ones, as I will post links on this forum (or you can do that yourself) and on all my other social media places.

Yeah!!!  Now you don't have to wait for your reports, you can check them yourself anytime Roz :)

Thanks for the kind words! I'll probably do a series of videos, including downloading, and installation and some of the advanced features!

That sounds great - will look forward to that Richard.

 :)

I have installed the software, but the pie chart doesn't seem to work.  It is just solid blue circle.  When I close the program a box comes up saying "runtime error"  any ideas ??

I have tried uninstalling and then downloading again, same things go wrong!
