Going to sleep
Hi can anyone help iv been using a cpap for about 8 weeks and its been going fine iv felt so much better ,more awake during the day but for the last 2/3 evenings iv nodded off on the sofa which I havent done since starting my treatment ? help is this normal

Did you used to fall asleep on the sofa before Stu? Also, did you have any alcohol on the evenings you fell asleep as that's a big culprit?

Hi kath yes I used to fall asleep all the time in the evening before I started treatment id get home from work and id be asleep by 7/8 ish the last couple of evernings iv not dozed off untill around 9 ish I have had a busy week with work , im a timber yard manage which is quite heavy work and as far as drinking im T total !

'T' Total's a good thing to be with sleep apnoea :) It could just be due to your very busy week, especially whilst you're still in the process of paying back your body all the years of sleep debt it's owed. Also, sometimes we tend to put all our tiredness down to our OSA and forget many other things cause tiredness such as stress, physical exertion and even some foods that we eat. White bread does it to me all the time, unfortunately. See how you go over the weekend.
