Sleep Apnoea Forum Bringing Help + Support to the Patient

Been wondering why I've been feeling a bit dry and croaky in the mornings, looks like the humidifier has failed on my machine.

Great timing!

I do like the straight path of your Spo2 though.

Im not quite understanding the graphs. Do the pulse rate and SPo2 summary go to together timewise?  If so Why don't the events under each match up? I like graphs but these are not telling me much.

Hi Rock.

The hoses from my old machine aren't heated - I'm wondering if there's a longer (10ft) heated hose (so I can have a loop of hose behind the headboard of the bed) - must admit I'm not actually finding it a big problem.

I have only had this machin3e for about 2 weeks(12 days). In that same amount of time I have worked 10 days. I just have not yet had the time to play with it. Is your other hose compatible? If not can it be made compatible. As simple as these machines are I would bet that you could by a piece or 2 at your local hardware stare to at least try it out.

Well, two nights and my initial thoughts are:

Good: Compact size, styling, heated hose (brilliant!), the humidifier. Sensawake seems to work well, wake up wondering if it's on because it's dropped the pressure.

Not so good: No auto start. Ramp time - not sure what it is and if it can be changed.

Not sure: Seems noisy compared to my Hoffrichter, though whether that's hose/mask noise (not got a cover on the hose, is it sensible to put a cover on a heated hose?).

Rock: you might know this - is there a longer hose than standard (I have a 10ft one on my other machine due to the layout of my bedroom, the icon is precariously close to my head...)

Indeed  - the main reason for posting was to show the improvement (in my opinion) over 12 months. I started therapy in November 2010, my AHI at test was 51. I went on auto cpap and the tech increased the minimum pressure a bit every few days until we got to 11 where it's been since (apart from a few days of experimentation, or when I get a heavy cold).

The events never match up as the software doesn't really analyse very well, if I use my oximiter (which is only when I change something or feel I need to) I'll read the full graphs - I posted the full nigh summary to show the effectiveness a year has had on my, heart rate is lower across the night, SpO2 is more consistent and higher across the night also.

I'm still amazed as to how much a simple air blower has changed my life :)
