Has anyone had experience with the hybrid masks. I am currently using the FitLife mask and it seems to be working but I am being left with marks around the top of my cheek bones going down into my cheeks, which make me look like Al Capone. Was thinking of giving the hybrid a try but am on high pressures and not sure if it is suitable for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What size FitLife do you have Tam? Most adults are better off with the XL FitLife and many adults who had previously used the size L with problems found the XL was much better. I use the size L myself and don't get any marks, but anyone bigger than me needs the XL. I use the SoftCap headgear with mine and don't use the one supplied with the mask http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/products/69 I find it much more comfortable.
Regarding the Hybrid, I also use that mask too (I alternate between the FitLife + Hybrid). I love both masks and I too have very high pressures. Lots of people like the Hybrid, as long as they know they're able to tolerate the pressures directly into the nostrils, and I don't recommend using nasal pillows every night as they can change the shape of the nostrils and also irritate the lining of the nostrils. The CPAP Cream helps with this though as it can be used WITH the masks and inside the nostrils http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/products/24
Hope this helps!
I would ask them if you can try the XL then Tam.

Yes it's the large fit life I was given from the sleep clinic Kath.
Hi Tam,
Are you sure your mask is not to tight?
This is a common mistake users make, including myself.
If it is not to tight you could try mask liners.
Check it is the right size for you as well.
This may at least make the marks not so bad and quicker to go away.
You will have to buy these though, but if the mask you have is working I would be inclined to stick with it.
The Hybrid masks are not very popular, but some do like them.
It is so hard to get a mask that fits and suits everyone.

Thanks for your reply. I dont know if you get liners for this mask. Its the Respironics Fit Life mask that covers your mouth nose and eyes. I am gonna take Kaths advice and ask my sleep clinic if I can try the XL size. Have read a bit about the mask and this seemed to solve a lot of peoples problems.
