new machine
i am due to get a new machine next week as i dont think mine is working as well as it used to. i think i've done well keeping it for ten years, is that a record??
it will just be an update of the basic one i have now but as long as it works and free from NHS thats fine by me.

i am going to ask if the do the the straps in the smaller size for women or i may have to but private as i am fed up with mine slipping off all night, so will be worth getting private if i have to.

Yes, sometimes we have to spend extra on things that help us sleep better (I have to buy my own masks as the clinic doesn't supply the one I like). Anyway, your hospital may have the smaller straps for you - fingers crossed......
Exciting getting a new machine - I get excited by new sleep equipment as much as I do when I get a new pair of shoes

picked my machine up today i cant believe how much higher the pressure is mine must have been really knackered, its a resmed s9. i got a new mask too 'mirage for her small' which mask do you like that NHS wont supply? how did you get to try it? i hope i'll get on with this one its smaller round my head so might not slip off all the time like my other one

It's not that the NHS won't supply certain masks Diane - it's the individual clinics that favour some manufacturers over others. In an ideal world all masks would be available in all clinics <sigh> I've wasted a lot of money over the years purchasing masks that I found were no good for me. When people buy masks we sell, I help as much as I can before purchase, as I hate people wasting their money.
