Welcome Clive, and it's absolutely normal to feel down about having to wear a mask every night in bed, but once you get on therapy and start to feel the benefits, you'll discover how it's a blessing in disguise.
It depends on which manufacturer's machines your clinic uses - some only use one brand and others use several. They're all very good though.
Have a look at some patient stories on the website too http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/patient-stories.html and whilst you're waiting to go to the clinic, try to determine whether you're a mouth breather or not, which will help the clinic decide on which mask to give you.
You might also like to check out the 'New to CPAP' page on the website too http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/desensitisation-tips-for-new-cpap-and-v...
Good luck, and shout out if you need any support when you get your equipment.
