I tried the cones, but they kept coming out (tried difference sizes as well). It might be due to me having very high pressures though. I tend to stick with Breathe Right strips, but definitely worth people trying different products to see what works for them.
The only thing we would be cautious with is taping the mouth shut, as although rare, it can be dangerous. Most people who are able to convert to nasal breathing do this naturally eventually, once they get used to CPAP. The problems that can happen is asphyxiation and also if people struggle to nasal breathe and can't open their mouths they can retain carbon dioxide. This is why sleep clinics don't recommend it.
Thank you Kath as you know i always tape my mouth but i'm careful i leave a tab to take off easy , but these cones do the job save the strips , i must admit i do like them plus i sleep right through , thanks for the reply Kath hope you are in good spirits , take care
Yes, I know you're careful Ian, but thought I'd just better put a warning too for people like me, who would run into trouble if they taped their mouth shut, even though I'm sure my hubby would be delighted if I could.....I can even talk with my full face mask on LOL. I have issues where it's not physically possible to nasal breathe all night, and am going to London next month to have this fully investigated. It would be good if I could at least get off ventilation and back onto CPAP.
My spirits are lifting now thanks, after a very stressful week with problems from the media and press (not sleep apnoea related) https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/
