PALPITATIONS
Hi. Does anyone one else suffer from palpitations? I've started having them since starting treatment.

Do you have the palpitations whilst on the CPAP or during the day Stu?

The reason I asked is because lots of people get them with the mask on when new to the treatment (anxiety at first). I had all sorts of weird bodily sensations in the early days which I put down to the fact that my heart and lungs were working like they'd never worked for years through the night. Unfortunately I can't remember if palpitations were one of these symptoms, but others on here might be able to help.

Ha Ha Stu....just noticed your profile picture. Are you sure the statue isn't causing these palpitations as there must be a lot of pressure on every organ in your body with that weight on you? LOL.

No just the opposite.
Had palpertations for along while and just got worse.
Saw 2 heart specialist, one gave me tablets!
One said "Have you been checked for o.s.a "?
I was checked and found positve to this.
Been wearing the mask everynight all night for 2 years .
been checked out ny heart specialist having amonitor on me for a week and all palpaertaions gone.
my osa doctors had already said this sometimes happens.
About 3 months after the start of using my a/pap i started to get lot's of noises in my ear when I first woke up.
Since then my hearing has detereated around 50% since then.
Has anyone else had this experience?

Joe, I get ringing in my ears, and my hearing seems to be a bit worse. I'd put it down to getting old (!) iPod headphones and all that air blowing in from the CPAP. Perhaps mention it to your GP?
