Didnt see it but a similar thing was on embarrasing bodies recently and the man was told to reduce his weight and his snoring / apnoea would be cured I was shouting at the tv and went on there website and sent an email though I never did get a reply ;)
I agree Kath the lack of awareness is a huge issue we even had to fight for a monitor from the nhs as we were told they make parents more edgy as they are prone to false alarm my response was that was " I would rather 100 false alarms than 1 real event that I slept through" on that note she issued her consent for us to have one . But it took 3 months to source one as there is a shortage due to them being used mainly in special care and not in the community I agree correct awareness is needed and media misleading isnt much help

I would have said the same thing too re the monitor. I wonder how many poor parents who've suffered the dreadful scenario of cot det wish they'd had one. If only...........
