Using CPAP during and after COVID and a chest infection

Hi all, I'm hoping for some advice. After finally getting used to my CPAP machine, I came down with Covid and a chest infection in December. I'm still battling the chest infection now with strong antibiotics and steroids. However, whenever I try to use my CPAP machine I only last a few minutes before I erupt into a coughing fit. I've tried everything - I use a humidifier and heated tube. I've tried the auto setting and the highest setting. I also try to sleep upright with a contour…See More

Hi all - I’m hoping you can help me figure out how to deal with a problem I’m having with using my CPAP machine? I often suffer from allergies - ie sneezing, blocked nose etc - during summer. Even though I make sure my nose is unblocked before putting my mask on I often find after an hour that my throat is tickling and phlegm collects at the back of my throat forcing me to remove the mask.I use a humidifier and full face mask. How can I combat against allergies and post nasal drip while using…See More

Want to buy CPAP machine and mask without testing

Hi all, I'm hoping you can help me. I took a private sleep test with Philips a few months back before the lockdown which shows I have severe sleep apnea. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get into a proper sleep clinic due to the Covid-19 situation but I desperately need to get this treated so I can get a decent night's sleep. I'm willing to buy a mask and machine myself, but does anyone know the best way of doing this without testing? I haven't found anywhere that provides testing of this…See More
