Pickwickian or Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome
This dramatic video demonstrates a patient with a severe presentation of Obesity Hypoventilation Syndrome also known as the Pickwickian Syndrome which got it's name from the 'Fat Boy' in Charles Dickens' Pickwick Papers. These people have sleep apnoea, but also daytime apnoeas whilst awake. Glad this man was offered help with no insurance.
