Your 7 day AHI is the average AHI for each of the seven nights. You only used for two nights so the reading is the average of two nights - and thus may be wildly inaccurate in terms of a seven day average but the machine has nowhere else to display the figure. After seven nights usage, you will get the accurate figure. Remember, the machine is looking for trends, not one or two night specifics.
If the 24 reading does not reduce significantly with each extra night of usage, you need to look at what is wrong. With a swollen face and tooth absess, we can guess that you have other swollen parts in and around your airway - which would lead to high AHI.

Thanks for reply, Tigers Fan. I thought it couldn't be right. I'll see if it comes down after 7. What will happen if *PAP treatment doesn't work for me?
