I have just seen a very interesting book called A MOUSE A MONKEY AND A CPAP MACHINE, on ebay.
This is written by a Mother and Son called Marion and Steve Mason and illustrated by Kristen Rose Sears. It has been written to help children get over the fear of the machine when either they, their parents or siblings are using it. Although my children are now older I can see that this would be a very helpful book. Hope it helps you. Happy New Year to al. Sally.

Yes Sally and we sell it on the website too. It's a lovely book for young children and was written by one of our own forum members on here - the one and only Marion at As I Live + Breathe :)
Thanks for the kind words Sally - this book was written by me and my son,, under our pen-names.
As you say, it helps young children if they are upset by seeing a family member using a CPAP or ventilator.
It's already been useful for families whose special-needs children have to use CPAP machines - the child can identify with the funny monkey and are more able to accept the therapy.
We've also just published a self-help book for adult users of CPAP called:
"CPAP and Ventilator Secrets".
If anyone would like to read more about the monkey book, and see links to amusing banana-related videos (kids love 'em!), please go here:

.....and by the way Marion, sales of your 'CPAP & Ventilator Secrets' book are going really well and people are finding it very helpful. In fact there's a review over on the website in case you haven't seen it HERE and it's even now finding it's way across the US to help our fellow sufferers across the pond :)
