Cleaning tubing
hi all, this is my first post. I clean my mask daily. I feel I don't clean my tubing often enough as I find it difficult to get it dry and there are always droplets of water left inside which I feel may harbour bacteria. Any thoughts please.

Hi Linda, I just wash it in soapy water (Dish type) and hang it up in the morning, it is always dry by night and ready for use.
Hang it from one end or the middle, both work just as well, anything in the tube will find its way our due to gravity.
I sometimes give it a whirl round my head if it is dripping wet, that get rid of most of it, them I hang it up.
Even if I don't have the time to do this, the machine soon dries anything that is left.

We sometimes hear of people who have difficulty getting their tubes dry. I actually haven't noticed as I have a spare hose, so when I wash mine once a week I just put the spare one on it.

My spare tube just sits in the drawer all the time. Never thought to use it whilst my regular one is drying out. .

Who has time to clean a tube daily?
Tubes and water tanks once a week, only masks get a wipe daily and washed every week with me anyway.
Water tanks get a rinse every day, but a good wash every week.

Thank you for your replies. I washed mine yesterday and hung it up over a radiator but when I took it down to use still had minute water droplets like condensation inside it. I assume that is ok and my worry about bacteria breeding is "over the top". Will endeavour to get a spare one.

It sounds like your house is on the cooler side Linda. If it's just a few droplets you can put the hose onto your machine and blow the air which will probably dry it off, but a spare hose is a good idea anyway so you don't have to worry about this and in case you get any holes in the other one. That's another reason I always have a spare, and take one on holiday with me too.
