Fisher and Paykel Eson mask first impressions
Got an Eson today bought privately, i buy a new mask every six months ish to keep things fresh and try something new and wanted another nasal mask as the Sleepweaver Elan though comfortable isn't working for me so i have been using my swift FX mostly. First night impressions are good, easy to seal and lightweight, some strap marks this morning but probably from side sleeping and being a little tight. Will make a full review after a few more nights.

The elan has become very leaky as it has aged, and the headgear has streched beyond usefulness. Third night with the eson was an odd one, left the tv on and the quiet program i fell asleep to became some loud rock show with strobing lights, woke with a jump and took hours to get back to sleep, however the quality of sleep is good and i have in response to a record low ahi dropped the pressure from 10 to 9 for tomight (bear in mind its an apap so it will rise if needed) to see if i can get to the comfort levels i have with the swift fx.

Im not a big fan. They work well in the lab as long as they are new. I have had problems in my personal use though.

Hi Arun.
Of the nasal masks I've tried so far the Eson is far and away the best. It's become the mask of choice, I swap away from it if I begin to get any irritation but it seems to give the best seal and comfort and is near silent.
