Sleep Apnoea Forum Bringing Help + Support to the Patient

Hi all

I was reading a forum post that mentioned some free data software which allows you to read your SD Card from your CPAP machine. Im sorry if someone has already posted about this free software.

The software is called sleepyhead http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyhead/ it is still under development but might give you some Insight in what is happening with your treatment. It will also download data from your oximeters.

Key Features

  • Free Cross Platform CPAP Review Software
  • Fast, Interactive Mouse Controlled Graphs
  • Supports Philips Respironics System One Machines
  • Supports ResMed S9 CPAP machines
  • Supports DeVilbiss Intellipap + Sleep Cube machines
  • Supports Contec CMS50 Oximeters
  • (Fisher Paykel Icon support coming soon)

I've found it quite interesting looking at my data this morning, and it hasn't cleared my card so it seems safe.

Thanks for posting this Edward.  I've been testing this SleepyHead software for a while, as I wanted to make sure it was accurate and safe before I spread the news, and I have been very impressed with it.  I've been comparing it to my Encore Pro 2 software for my Respironics machine and it certainly is accurate!  It has been designed by an Australian software programmer who is a fellow sleep apnoea sufferer.  Whilst the software is free, there is a donation button for people to contribute, to help him with his work.

Yes it stays in the machine Carol to store the information.

This is quite interesting, does it work on a Mac too, or is it just window's software?

When i was chatting to philips the other day they said if my consultant gives permission  they will send me teh info from teh card, but it would be easier to take it off myslef… assuming I can understand it lol

Thanks for posting xx

There's a mac version Roz and it's easy to understand ;)

His has never ever been in it thank you Kath so much

Thanks Kath.. I'll have to take a look xx

Was very excited when I saw this. Sadly, Resmed S9 series are in the compatible machines list, but not S8s.:(

What a shame Lisa.  Maybe you could ask the creator of it if he could include S8's as a lot of people still have this machine.  You can contact him on the link.

Where can you download Encore Pro 2 software for my Respironics machine? I have looked on the website and there does not appear to be a download.

I have a Respironics One but the computer doesnt see any machine data on the card for the Sleepy Head Software. I have tried it in three different readers but have no success.

You have to buy the software Ian.  We sell it on the website http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/products/43 but it's not cheap!  Respironics started allowing the sale of the software a while back, but Resmed don't even sell theirs.  I don't understand why you're not having success with the SleepyHead as I have the same machine.  I just downloaded the SleepyHead on my computer and then imported the information from the data card which I put directly into my computer.
