Hi Paula

At least that's another step forward and it's good that hubby can record the seizures...mind you he might be feeling tired in the morning!!  Tell him not to stick it on facebook!!   I've had an ECG and EEG before.  The ECG takes about 10 mins and the EEG the same.  My ECG was normal but there were a few blank moments which explains a lot (lol) but they weren't concerned.  If I remember correctly they stick a little netted helmet on your head and place the probes as close to your scalp as possible and take a reading...it's that simple.  They stick probes on your body for the ECG...neck, upper chest, under your boob and your leg...again all painless.  Have to say that my hubby thinks I now have ADS as I hit the fast forward button on the recorder and forget to stop it lol...he calls it planet Julie.   Anyway hope you get on ok.

Aww Thanks..No to F/B Utube r any other site r its D.I.V.O.R.C.E hahahahaha....Planet julie funny..i can relate to that! we call it a  "Paula Moment" ..same thing..lol..Thanks for Advice,x x x

Paula, I've just been talking about you on another discussion with a Mum who's young son is having problems.  His OSA seems to have been cured, but they think he's having nocturnal epilepsy episodes.  You might want to look at the discussion 3 Year Old with Sleep Apnoea

When I linked her to this discussion I noticed that your appointment was October (in my head I thought it was November).  Did you go to your appointment, and if so, how did it go?

Doesnt look like iv got epilepsey at all,as all the tests on my head have come bk ok..but bad to worse seems they r not happy with my heart,iv only had a letter,so waiting for an appointment to speak to someone face to face, cause not a clue wot it all means and even the internet is not giving me reasurring answers..the letter says...mrs jones 24 hour ECG showed sinus rhythm and 28 mainly unifocal ventriicular ectopics, and consider cardiology referral as attacks from sleep could well be Cardiac in Origin.....Anyone got a clue wot its on about LOL...im not worrying till iv spoken to a specialist face to face..Thanks x x

Hi Paula

That is so annoying, these doctors just drop you a letter with what looks like technical content only a doctor would understand.  Sometimes I wonder about these specialists.   Paula, until you see the specialist, you should make an appointment with your doctor and he/she will explain it to you.  It's unacceptable to leave you hanging without a reasonable explanation or at the very least help you understand what it means.   When I went for tests my doctor received a letter from the hospital and I believe that is normal practice so your doctor may very well have the information on file.

I hope you are ok.  Do you have an appointment date for the specialist?

Take care and try not to worry.

Julie

Hi Julie..No not got an Appointment yet, waiting got later last wk,but yeh im defo gonna make an appointment with doctor (silly me never thought of that duh)maybe he can tell me wot it means..Thanks for reply hun..x

Yes, I think it's best not to speculate and search too much and end up worrying yourself.  Like Julie says, your GP is the best person to speak to for a translation.  Goodness knows why they write that medical jargon to the patientsThen we wonder why we start googling for information!!

At least the problem's been picked up, so let's hope there's a simple fix for you Paula.

Take care x
