Oxygen levels
I am sorry if I have posted this twice but here goes. I had an oxemeter from the sleep clinic, to use on thursday night. I returned it on friday. Monday morning the sleep nurse phoned me. She said I was down to 88%-90% a couple of times but mostly 95%. What levels of oxygen do you run at, and what do you accept as normal-ish? I don't know if any of you use oxygen with your c-paps/bi-paps. I'm not very happy with these readings but I see my gp on friday, she is really great and when I need anything she is right on to get it quickly. She is a fantastic Dr. I am very lucky.

An engineer's approach: you posted the question therefore you are alive therefore your desats are within normal range for you.
If I am still alive there cannot be much harm done by learning new stats about myself.
It matters not what other people run at, we are all different. Your numbers are fine for a PAPer sleeping. I would expect high 90s during the day.

I'm no expert Carolyn, but am led to believe that 95% are good figures for sleeping, and the few dips you had were probably as a result of a few apnoeas that crept in. Like TF says, we are all different......mine run at between 95 + 98 when asleep, but a few dips like you with apnoeas.

Those % are normal of someone with apnea treated or not. As a medical paractioner it is our goal to TRY and maintain SPo2 levels above 90%. I would say that these numbers are great for your current situation. As you continue to get your AHI down these numbers should go up.

Thanks for your reply Rock. At least my oxygen% is ok. I am wearing my bi-pap every night, so my ahi's should start do decrease soon. Thanks for your continued help.
