Lol thanks ill try to have a good v busy with work ... You have a good day to and hope you sleep well xx

We know that undiagnosed OSA can lead to a number of other conditions, like heart disease and diabetes.

Your palpitations might be a sign of a possible heart condition; depends on how long you believe you might have been suffering from sleep apnoea before you were diagnosed.  In other words, some slight heart damage may have been done before you were even aware of the sleep apnoea.

An echo-cardiogram would show if there is anything wrong.

I've been thinking about this Stu, and whilst heart palpitations can be a sign of stress/anxiety etc., still think it would be worth a trip to your GP to get checked out just in case it's a physical problem.
Oh thanks people now youv scaerd the shxxxt out of me !

Palpitations = go to GP.

Most likely he'll give you some Beta Blockers and send you home.

On the other hand, it could be Raging Bull Syndrome or even Floundering Whale Syndrome.

I spent a while on Alpha and Beta blockers which still sounds dangerous to me but my GP said it was OK to take both - twenty odd years ago.

When you have  s.a it puts a strain on many or your organs.

When you take away the s.a it is possible for a recovery and the symptoms can stop.

I had palpitations for a few years and then started to have Arrhythmia.

I was given Bets blockers but could not get on with them so stopped taking them.

It was my second heart specialist that suggested I get checked out and was found to have o.s a.

around 6 months after using the a/pap they stopped completely.

My heart specialist said this often happens.

So the bottom line is the a/pap c/pap will not make them worse and could make them better, as you stop putting a strain on your organs.

Joe.

.....and before you get yourself all worried Stu, remember the palpitations could also be caused by stress, and you mentioned in another post what an incredibly busy time you've had at work lately.  The most important think is to get to the doc's...
This is great to hear Joe, even though I know you struggle with you've struggle with your ears on CPAP.  At least your heart's being protected :)
