Hi all, Ive just recently been diagnosed with OSA, and been reading a few posts. A lot of people mention AHI, can someone please tell me what this is.
All i know is that sleep study showed an index of 73.8 events per hour, associated with 43.6 desaturations an hour.
I did ask at first appointment, and was told it meant i had severe sleep apnoea, and would need to be on CPAP for life.
and does anyone know of any tricks to help with very sore, bruised bridge of nose.

Hi Terry
Thanks for your input. Had first night with liner last night, and managed 3 to 4 hrs sleep. a big improvement.
Great idea about buying fabric, will certainly be a lot cheaper than £20 monthly.
We used to sell the mask liners and on a few occasions asked the company about making them slightly thicker so they could be washed. Not surprisingly they weren't interested :D £20 a month is a lot to pay for something which is easy to make (even for me who isn't practical at all).
I got some lovely stretchy leopard print material, which does the job great, really soft and washable. Terry, it's RemZzzs who make the liners, not Resmed :D

Just be careful with the thickness, you don't want to go too think otherwise that can cause leaks as well. Check out the fabrics shops for something that is similar to the Resmed thickness. The other advantage is you can get different colours lol. I'd also feel the fabric and make sure it feels right for your skin. If your buying it this way, you don't need something that's really long lasting 4-6 nights is great.
