hi
My 18 year old had laryngomalacia when he was born he only stridors when he has a really bad cold until he went to a party a few weeks back and had too much alcohol spirits
He had pauses for 38 secs and his stridor was as loud as the day he was born
My question is what does alcohol do to the airway does it relax it ??
Also the obvious thing I suppose for him is to avoid excess consumtion of alcohol but is there anything else he should avoid in future ie muscle relaxants etc or is that different
He is also asthmatic
Thanks
carol
