Sleep Apnoea Forum Bringing Help + Support to the Patient

Dear Hose Heads.

I am trying to put together a camping travel kit for my Resmed S9 escape CPAP machine. Can anyone advise me on what rate W the inverter has to be? The power supply says 90W, so does that mean thats the minimum I would need. Ow yes, I will be running it from a deep cycle leisure battery at 110aH. Thanking you

Kindest regards

Steve

you need check manuel

plus you pressure settings

this is obviously without the humidifier

I'm afraid I'm no expert on this, although we do have members that are.  Meanwhile, does this help? RESMED TRAVEL

Hi and thanks for the info. Just need to save for the battery + inverter and we're off. :o)

Did you see the battery for sale on this forum under the Buy-Sell-Swap tab?  Not sure if it's still for sale, but worth checking.

Hi 99

Thanks for that. Its a bit on the pricey side for me. I have been quoted 85 for 110aH Deep cycle battery and 30 for the inverter. Its probably not as neat as yours but I have to watch every penny.

Thank you again and I hope you can sell it soon.

It wasn't 99's Steve, he was giving you a different link, but it's the same one that's on this site.  Let us know how you get on with the cheaper alternative - not that I need one, but others on here do.

I will. :o)

Hi Kath. Hope your well. Just a quick update on using the resmed whilst camping. The eventual kit I used was the Resmed converter, a 110amp hour leasure battery and a cheap solar charger from Maplins. The outcome was great. Although when it lashed down with rain the battery converter lead had to be covered up as it was not water proof. Anyway I will be using it again this weekend, just for two nights this time. So the final cost for going camping was about £150, hell of a lot of money but hopefully will last a good few years.

That's great news Steve and worth the money I'm sure as it sounds like you're a regular camper.  I read recently about a man who had gone to a music festival and couldn't get his CPAP to work so came home and missed the festival.
