Sleep Apnoea Forum Bringing Help + Support to the Patient

I now have a Simplus. First impressions are good but it will be a week or two until i can post a review as the first cold of the year has just arrived so I am up coughing multiple times in the night.

I find it interesting that the pressure of the machine helps overcome nasal congestion, so despite being congesties during the day the nasal masks really allow clear breathing at night.

I like the look of the Simplus and will probably get one but where is there a sizing gauge for it.

There must be one as its sold in 3 sizes.

Am trying to find this out for you Edam.  Watch this space as I'm alerting one of our members who works for F & P ......

Im concerned that it will give me the same trouble as I get with the Quatro FX so I wont get one.

I have ordered another F&P mask instead

What problem do you have with the quatro fx? I have both...

Pressure sticking at 20 but with no leaks, Resp.rate over 50 !!!!!!!!, but AHI under 1.

Look for yourself as I have put my Sleepyhead stats on the other forum

I have had problems with my Forma last night as well so its not just the FX.

I might know the answer .fingers crossed

Half the battle's won when you know the answer Edam. Hope you can fix it......

I don't know why yet but it seems that its easier to exhale using the Forma than the FX and have stats. to prove it.

It could be that the inlet pipe on the FX is closer to my mouth than on the Forma ,or size of mask or even the air flow into my mouth is different.

I think I would need to try out the Simplus and any other mask, for that matter,  before I buy . I have not seen any information about the exhalation performance of any masks but there does seem a difference between the two masks I use.

Hi Edam,

We have a sizing guide now, but drop me a  note on deborah.wainwright@fphcare.co.uk and I will sort out a sample mask for you

Sorted .

I have switched EPR on with a setting of 2 and my 95% pressure has dropped to 13.2 last night from up to 20 on previous nights

Is the sizing guide available online yet. Im looking for a mask which does not have the straps close to my ears
