Im using a full face mask and it lets alot of air out sometimes... then if i turn my machine off then on again its fine y is it doing that??

Sorry for the delay P over the christmas period, but it sounds like you're having mask leaks which, apart from disturbing your sleep means your therapy isn't working as well as it could. There are mask liners available which help prevent this http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/silent-night-mask-liners.html which a lot of people use (myself included).

Not sure what type machine you have but mine has a set pressure of 4 to start off with. And then has a "Ramp up" setting that can be set from 0-45 minutes or auto, on a "ramp up setting" where the pressure ramps up to whatever it's been set at. (My full pressure is currently set to 15)
So, I switch on & it starts off at 4 air pressure & if i have this ramp up set to "auto" it ramps up when I am asleep to 15.
This setting is adjustable so if it's set at 30, after 30 mins it ramps up to full pressure, 40, 40mins etc etc.
Everytime I switch the machine off it always starts the cycle off again, so starts off at 4 before ramping up again etc, im guessing this is why your mask isn't leaking when you first switch it on as the pressure is low & it leaks after reaching Ramp up to a higher pressure. Hope that answers why it doesn't leak when you switch it on, Kath is obviously correct on the reason why it does leak
