Hi everyone, I have been hit by Universal Credit cuts and problems whilst in lockdown, I also can't go into shops as I'm still shielding. I'm not sure if my sleep apnea is working or not as I only seem to get my machine checked out once a year. I don't know if I should check out my SD card in my machine, to see how things are going? Is there a program I need?
I also now feel I'm loosing my concentration, and this worries me greatly. Truth is I feel tired each day, and despite waking each day at 7am, I dont feel awake until about 11am !!!
I've read your comments on this forum and read about needing supliments and vitamins to help them out is there any that would help me?
I'm now 57 years old, with type 1 diabetes since 5 years old, and my fingers also ach when I use them. I know I need to weight to but I need to do it safely. Any sugestions?

Hey. Depending on your make of machine you can download the app. I have a Philips dream station and you can see how you are doing every day. It took me 6 months to see any difference what so ever. At first I was more tired than I was before I started on CPAP.
So sorry that this post got missed Stuart and was flagged up thanks to Holly's reply. Do let us know which machine you have so we can help.
Stuart,
I don't know how long you have been using your machine, or what type or make of machine you have, but a lot of the modern machine have data cards in them that read the data from your sleep. This can be read by software that is in the public domain and is free. There is also software the clinics use out there as well, it is not so much in the public domain, but it can be downloaded.
If during the Lockdown you have put on some weight, it may be you might need slightly more pressure, however, it is not advised that you go adjusting your machine. If it is an auto machine it should adjust itself, however, it may be restricted, depending how it was set up. There may be other reasons why you are tired given you have type 1 diabetes. you need to be a bit careful about that, but you know that anyway right.
You can download software to read your data card, but be careful, it is so easy to delete the data.
Reading the data is one thing, but adjusting your machine is another, you need to know what you are doing, it can make things a lot worse than it already is!
