Hi
I have a PR Dreamstation Auto with integrated humidifier connected to a Amara Viewfull face mask via a heated wire tube. My average pressure is 9 - 10 cmH2O with 5% mask leak and AHI now down to 7, so flow not over excessive I would have thought. My avg use is 7 hours.
I can set the humidifier and wire temperature independently. Both current set to 3. I am waking in the night and morning with very dry and uncomfortable mouth, and chamber is near empty of water in the morning.
I note from another post that there is an option to set to manual the ambient setting, but I am sure it is not possible in the presence of a heated wire circuit.
Do the humidifier and wire settings need to be same?
What’s the best way to maintain optimal humidity and prevent the dry mouth?
Any guidance welcome, thanks.

Hi Michael
Good to hear your AHI is coming down and I'd highly suggest changing the humidifier to fixed from adaptive so that you can control the amount of humidification as adaptive rarely works well in the UK.
You can control your heated hose independently too.
Some people do still have problems with a dry mouth, despite good humidification, and if this is the case many people use the XyliMelts which work well during the night https://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/xylimelts-dry-mouth-discs.html
Hi
Thanks for the feed back. I’m using a heated wire circuit so I don’t seem to be able to turn off the adaptive setting. The video suggests the same.
I’ll try the gum gels once in stock.
Thanks, Mike
