New lease of life
Well what can I say? One week into treatment I already feel like a "new" person. For me the relief was immediate and the benefits I have gained through getting my life back, far outweigh the minor inconvenience of having to sleep with a mask on! Already I have the bounce back in my step and a sparkle back in my eyes - I feel alive once more. Of course as they say for every silver lining there has to be a cloud. The down side for me is that now I'm not feeling so tired I no longer have the excuse for putting off all those dreadful tasks I've been shying away from for the last 2 years or more... I've managed to get away with making a start this weekend but the changes have already been noted and I know I'll have to make a start next weekend :-( Ah well the charities will benefit from all the things I have to donate to their cause - and I'll have nice tidy wardrobes and cupboards again!!!

This is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT news Joanne, and after being on CPAP for such a short time. I'm so pleased for you and hopefully visitors to our forum will read this, and it will spur them on to dare to seek diagnosis or get the mask on. Thanks for posting it :) Enjoy sorting out those cupboards now......more room for the masks you'll no doubt accumulate like the rest of us ;)

Thanks Kath, and it was made easier to cope with it all once I found you and your forum. I have to say too that the hose lift is amazing, even though I've been provided with the newer type of hose which is lighter and less cumbersome than the one I used on the trial machine, the hose lift is invaluable. I also received the rest of my order (wipes, moisture cream and cleaning spray) so thanks once again. I'm not going to be a stranger to this forum as I find it helpful and if I can help and support others in return it will be worthwhile! Best wishes, and again, thank you for your support. Joanne :-)

Thanks for your support Mary - although that post was posted some time ago I'm now approaching my 8th week of treatment, and don't know what I'd do without my CPAP. This forum and everyone on it has been a great help, it's good to know that I'm not alone with my condition. Best wishes,
