Snoring
Hi,
Can anyone tell me why my snoring is just as bad when I am using the CPAP. It is so loud that my neighbour downstairs can hear it. I was hoping that once I started using my CPAP that my snoring would cease, but apparently it hasn't :( I don't go back to the sleep clinic till March/April for a check up so thought I would ask on here.

There's no way you should be snoring like that Isla whilst on CPAP, so it's no wonder you're still struggling with extreme tiredness. Don't wait for your appointment, as it sounds like you pressures need adjusting. Give them a ring!

What mask are you using? If you are using a nasal mask and mouth breathing your snoring may not be affected by the therapy.

Hi Rock,
It is full face masks I am using, I have a FitLife and also a Quattro FX. I use the Quattro FX mostly but I always mouth breathe and I am very aware of that and have been trying both of them as I am still very tired and was thinking it was maybe the masks :(.

i was snoring like that when i first started on Cpap..my clinic refered me to the E.N.T (ears nose throat) Specialist, im still under them now, Although my hubby says im not bad now ..so u might get a referal..Good luck x x

Ahh Paula, I have already been to ENT nothing wrong with my nose or any ENT problem :(. They say I should have stopped it when I started on the CPAP and I don't feel any different to what I did before, so going to phone the sleep clinic tomorrow to see what they say :) but thanks for the good luck, will need it :)

Hi I still have some problems with my snoring but no where near as bad as it was, my main problem is stopping the leaks from my mask. Why dont you phone your clinic and ask for help it may be that the pressure on your machine isnt high enough.

ty everyone for your replies :(. Paula I still find it hard to breathe through my nose, even with the Quattro FX mask I find it hard to breathe through my nose. Well I phoned the sleep clinic yesterday and someone was to get back to me, but needless to say no one has...I will give them a phone again tomorrow afternoon to see if I can catch them then.
