Having deja vu today...... I decided I'd read in bed before putting on the mask last night, only I fell asleep with the book still in my hand and no mask on (which is precisely why I stopped reading without the mask on when I was first diagnosed, as this used to happen all of the time). Anyway, what has all of this got to do with deja vu? Well, today's been just like going back in time before my introduction to CPAP, and I've felt just how I used to.... no energy, motivation, drinking endless cups of coffee and even sneaking some chocolate chip cookies from the biscuit barrell. I tried to do my normal exercise routine and gave up. I'd built myself up to being able to do 36 sit-ups, but today I could only manage 5! As for the poor dog, he's desperately awaiting my hubby to get in so he can have a proper walk. All I could manage was 5 minutes round the block.
Part of me is glad this has happened, as so often it's tempting at bedtime to have a night off the equipment, but this brings it home just how much we need to use our CPAP's every time we sleep. This was only one night off it too. Guess who's going to be reading 'with' the mask on tonight?
