"Hi Bob (delayed reply as the forum wouldn't post last time I tried).  Your average pressure is certainly very low.  I'm assuming it's auto pressures (APAP)?  Your AHI is good too.  It would be better to upload a…"

"Hi Kath, I think, looking at the graphs that I have a very low flow rate and then an OA event and then the machine sends out one or more pulses. This is almost invariably when I wake. So it could be the OA event waking me (or waking causing the OA),…"

"Sorry Bob, but I missed your post.  If you're having broken sleep this will cause daytime tiredness.  Roughly every 90 mins we go into REM sleep and I'm wondering if you're being woken up by the pressure rising when apnoeas…"

"Thanks Kath, will see the GP in the New Year I wondered myself if it was Iron.  I find that the GP doesn't seem to know very much about OSA, and never do any checks on it."

"Just a thought Mags, but if the tiredness has come on you since you came off the iron/folic tablets, maybe that could be the cause?  Also a lot of people do need large doses of Vitamin D3 and I wonder if that could be affecting things now that…"

"Are your AHI results on the CPAP 5 or below? If so, check your hose hasn't developed any little holes. Occasional mask leaks shouldn't cause this.  If all is well with your CPAP therapy and you're getting 7-9 hours sleep every…"

Daytime Tiredness on CPAP

I have been on CPAP therapy for 3 years, recently I am feeling very tired in the daytime.  This morning my machine showed 8 hours 28 minutes and no leaks.  Use a ResMed automatic machine and a full face mask.  An odd time if I turn in my sleep my mask leaks this happens occasionally.  I am age 70 if that makes any difference. Any advice would be really appreciated.See More

"Normally a consultant's name would be on the diagnosis if you got it in letter form.  It's difficult at the moment to reach all the clinics, so try sending an email as those are usually picked up."
