I found out if I put my CPAP mask on before turning on the machine...
After the mask is on then I turn machine on and it seals right off the bat.
.I.m fairly new with "Sleep Apnea"This might help other newbies...

Hi Kath - a quick "hints and tips" section would probably be good!
Not everything works for everyone though, there are very few "rules" that apply to everyone.
Kath, I know you have pretty much everything on this site, is there one area that 'newbies' can go to for all tips & tricks re CPAP? I found the tips through out the forums invaluable and have made my own hose lift (sorry for not giving you a sale) and have had 6 nights of leak free sleep.
I feel fantastic at the moment.
If you thought it was a good idea you may be able to add it to your welcome as most new members are probably also newbies to CPAP, just a thought.
Kath, I'm more an idea's man than a handy man, I don't go away that often anymore so it is more a fixed solution which attaches to the wall cabinet I have my CPAP in and then raises the hose so it comes down over the top of me.
Isn't too bad for 80c.
I took a photo for a friend at work who also uses CPAP and he is going to design his own.
