When first starting to use a cpap machine how long does it take to start feeling the benefits of using one please.

Mike, I had a feeling when I posted that article that you already had a humidifier. I would ring your hospital tomorrow and ask them for one. I'm not sure what mask you're using without coming off this post and hunting around, but most people with a full face mask need humidification - as do a lot of people with nasal masks. Unfortunately, a lot of hospitals don't offer them until people get problems :(

Yes, it's great when these articles are reported, as it's helping create awareness out there. I 'tweeted' it earlier, and tried to leave a comment on the article saying that slim people and children are always at risk. For some reason my comment isn't displaying. Maybe I'm banned LOL.
Have you got your humidifier yet Mike?
Hi kath yes recevied it yesterday afternoon on the humidifier itself there is a round dial with a blue light in the middle it goes from 1 to 6 do you know if this is the heat setting as i have no instructions with the humidifier. I did phone papworth technical dept yesterday as instructed and they were very helpfull but i forgot to ask about the round dial and also forgot to call them today lol .

Which humidifier have you got Mike? Is it one that attaches to your CPAP or a separate unit?
