Hi
Been reading what Kath said about changing filters. No one mentioned this to me at sleep clinic (NHS) so do they change them when machine is checked at every appointment? There's a sticker on my machine saying all maintenance will be done by hospital staff.
Review appointment every 4 months or so. Will filter need changing before this?

Welcome to the forum Liz As for the filters, the NHS normally replace them at your annual checks, but it's a good idea to purchase them yourself in between visits. Check on your own machine as to how often they're supposed to be replaced.
You can cut one off of your intake filter as well. This will work in a pinch and is cheap.
At my clinic in sheffield aftera initial 3 month appt from start , its review after 12 months. they gave me a spare filtera nd told me to change it monthly. I just wash the old one in a weak sopa solution , rinse and let it dry in the airing cupboard.
Good service there David. Yes, the black foam ones can be washed, but the white ultra fine ones need replacing (assuming people's machines have them - all depends on the manufacturer + model).
