My son is 3 and has always been a poor sleeper from birth. He has had numeouros health problems, from bronclitis to asthma
We recently got referred to ent bcus he had glue ear.
I mentioned his sleepin how poor it was,and that he sleep talks. Alway tired, and behaoiur is hard work in the daytime.
So arranged a sleep study.
Results was sleep apnea.
Least seconds stop breathing was 15 most being 90!! Numerous times.
They are goin to take his adenoid and tonsils out in the next 6 weeks.
I'm bloody petrifed tho,now set up camp in his room to watch him.
Is there anythin i can do??
Also anyone out there with kids simalir age? Can u offer any advice, exp etc.
Thankyou.

Gosh yes....!! xx

hello kath, just wanted o update you on my son. Also happy new year. Well he has had the all clear from sleep apnea now as u know. But still sufferin with sleep. I've many recoridngs and most recently we have alot of bedwettin thrown in. He had an eeg few months back an a blood test came back clear. Tomorow he is being giving a drug called melatonin and brain is being recorded for 2 hours . This is at 9am,so i'm confused tbh! I thought surely he shud be evaluted overnight not at 9am in the mornin and in forced sleep. Our issues are night times, just not sure what there gonna get from this. Shall let u know anyhow.  t xxx

Happy New Year to you too Tracey, but sorry to hear you're still no further on   At least the hospital are trying to get to the bottom of your son's problems though and hope they do soon.  Thanks for keeping us posted.
