People either love them or hate them Bob. We had a small discussion here about them a while ago http://hope2sleepguide.co.uk/forum/topics/sleep-weaver? When I was at the Scottish Sleep Apnoea Support Meeting a few months ago, the company tried it on me, but even they couldn't get it to seal properly on me (this was the full face Anew version). I hear a lot of negative about the full face one in particular, but perhaps when newer upgrades come out it will improve. I certainly wouldn't purchase one without having tried it first, and most NHS clinics don't supply it. If I did use one then it would cost a fair bit, as I would one at least two of them so I could wash it every day with it being made of cloth. Let us know if you try it.

Thanks for that Kath - you're a star. In view of your comments and the discussion you referred to then I think I'll hang fire on that mask at the moment.
I'm seeking a different mask at the moment as my current mask (Respironics M Profile Lite) is giving me problems ( ie hurting my gums). I'm awaiting an appointment with the Sleep consultant at the moment and I will ask about about alternative masks.
Whilst looking for alternative masks I came across this one on Amazon.uk

Considerably cheaper than most masks. Have you or anyone else on the forum come across or used this mask.

Regarding the Comfo, it's not a mask I've seen but it does look like one of the chinese ones that come under different names. They're very basic, but at that price it would be worth a try - even if just as a back up mask. As your clinic about the Wisp http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/products/103 or if you could tolerate nasal pillows the Nuance Gel http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/products/121 They're both getting good reviews and feedback

Oops, back again Bob, as realised I forgot to answer your question about the Scottish Sleep Apnoea Association (SASA). I would definitely join and they put on a very good support group annual meeting which is normally October time. I've been the last few years and hope to be there again, and it's always nice to meet my Scottish fellow sufferers

Yes I have been using the Sleep weaver mask for 2 years now and would not go back to a rigid plastic one now. They don't last as long, but I love mine.
Also I do get mine on NHS and do have two. If you wash it in the morning and just hang it on something like the towel rail it is dry in no time and ready for that night.

That's good to hear you're having great success Margaret AND that your clinic supply them. Unfortunately, this isn't the case at most clinics who are struggling with resources and can't supply those masks. The problem I had was I bought loads of masks when trying to find the 'right' one and most proved unsuccessful. This is why when people have to purchase masks their clinics can't provide we do everything in our power to help a person BEFORE purchase as I personally hate it when people buy masks that prove no use to them. It doesn't matter how many brilliant reviews are given for masks (or even the comfort products we sell on http://www.hope2sleep.co.uk/products ) but with our condition it's never a on-fix-for-all except for the Hose Lift and Cleaning Wipes which do work for everyone. I was actually very pleased the company who sell the SleepWeaver found it didn't work for me, as I didn't waste money on trying yet another unsuccessful mask for me personally

The mask looks very much like the ZZZ mask I bought when I first started CPAP as the hospital did not supply full face masks.
I will be buying one again .
Also I dont remember seeing CPAP equipment on Amazon before. Is this a new policy

I have tried the full face version of the Sleepweaver ,Anew, but I could not get a decent seal. It is really a nasal mask and a oral mask joined together . As I have a small nose on a big face this type of mask will never work for me unless they increased the sizing options. It may work for others though

The Sleepweaver Advance is one of only two masks I've ever got on with. It might sound a bit icky, but I use a humidifier and a bit of "rainout" seems inevitable. But with the Advance, any condensation is absorbed by the cloth mask rather than gurgling around. I bought a Sleepweaver Elan, and couldn't get on with it. The front section is much more "boxy" and wants to droop. (The other mask I like is the old Respironics Comfort Curve. I curse the fact that it was discontinued, and still use one patched up with insulation tape!)

Yes, I like LankyLefty and have put a couple of his videos up on the forum
Regarding the Anew version of the SleepWeaver, I know many people who have tried it and so far only one person that gets on well with it. I'm sure there must be others out there too though or they would have ceased production, but my guess is the next version will be better.
