Hello, Steve and welcome. I am just getting to grips with using batteries, so will be interested in what others have to say, too. I have just had to buy a battery so that I could use my machine on a plane ( see other post) - airlines have restrictions on type, size etc - so beware if you want battery you get to be useful for that purpose as well. I did notice when looking for mine that there were batteries available that were suitable for camping , supposedly giving several days of power, but these didn't meet the airlines criteria.
hi all,be very carefull with batteries,i go camping often but blew up not one but two cpaps machines,(hospital not amused) because you are supost to use a speicial addapter at a cost of £55 (hospital wont pay) i connected a cig lighter 12v to the 12v supply plug at the back and that blew them.they were connected correctly pos centre neg outside,i didnt reverse the wires as the hospital were not happy with me,so now i have a 300w inverter and connect that to the 12v.hope this helps.muz
Hi Martin
Thank you for your reply think I should think about getting an adaptor for my cpap maching as i dont think my hospital would look to kindly or amused when I have to return it to them for repair will look for an inverter
Cheers
Steve
