Hi folks,

Just looking at those stats from Linda, wish mine were as good, AHI  is so low it is nearly not there at all :-)

I thought mine were reasonable, but in comparison !!!!

Yes Derek, she's doing really well - and to think that just a week ago Linda was really struggling!

Just a little observation on your stats - noticed that your AHI was better on C-Flex as opposed to the A-Flex you're on now, so might be worth looking into....

Linda, don't worries too much about the graphs etc the most imortant figure is the AHI and yours is very good now, It was still OK using the other machine but better now. I don't know how the English system works but I would definitely be trying to keep that machine and keep everything consistent. If you have to get one at your own cost it is well worth it because this is your life we are talking about. I don't know if you know what your AHI was it you sleep study? Your pressure goes up to 20 so you must have been in the very severe range. If it was say 60+ prior to being diagnosed, you are now at 1-2, no wonder you are seeing an improvement. Just keep it up and keep consistent, well done.

Kath, not sure if you got my couple of Emails especially the one about DS.

Terry, I got the DS one, but was going to reply when I finally heard from them.  Never got one with your stats though.

Some British history for you..... Linda's from Scotland so is Scottish.  I'm from England so am English.  Then there are those from Wales who are Welsh.  England, Scotland and Wales are all in Great Britain so we're all British.  Very confusing for those across the pond LOL.  For further info, all the aforesaid plus Northern Ireland (who are Irish) are all part of the United Kingdom.

Thanks Kath, I had a bit of an idea, my father in law is Scottish so have a bit of an idea and he doesn't like being called English, I get lost a bit lost anyway. I didn't realise Linda was from Scotland, I don't usually look at where people are from but do appreciate the history lesson. Those Kings and Queens etc have a lot to answer for.

Hi Terry, thanks for all your help.  When diagnosed earlier this year my events were 73.8 an hour, so very much improved with cpap.  And i am in Perth, about 40minutes drive north of Edinburgh.

Hi Kath,

Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't noticed! The change was done when I asked for the resistance (pressure relief) unlocked as it needed altering when they supplied the go-life mask, will have to contact them again as there is no option to set the m/c back to c-flex!

Linda, your doing very well 1-2 compared with 73.8, no wonder your high pressure is 20. Can you now imagine waking up 74 times an hour eiher conciously or sub conciously not breathing. You must be feeling much better as that is the true test. I look at my figures each day and over analysis them but that is just me. It's Wednesday morning here and I have my Sleep Specialist appt at 10.10am to get my results from the check up sleep study I had a couple of weeks ago. I was diagnosed about 18 months ago and I think he will put my pressures up slightly, mine are currently 4-12 and I think they will go up to 6-14. I still feel good but have put on a lot of weight since going on CPAP (I was extremely under weight, so needed it). My father in law came from Arbroath near Aaberdeen. He came out in the 50's but still has that Scottish accent and I find it hard to understand him lol. We went to England, Scotland and around Europe in the mid 90's. Anyway, keep going, you will be fine.

For anyone with the Respironics system one machines did you know you can alter the settings yourself see: http://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-pressure/change-cpap-pressure...

After all its your body , so you can alter the cflex settings and pressure settings.
