Thank you!

Great DarrylMy husband got a letter this morning, but am still awaiting mine.

Jonathan Lord, MP for Woking responded to someone within a few hours!

Update on this one:-

John Lamont, MSP for Ettrick, Roxburgh + Berwickshire has agreed to take action now.

Another's been reported - Paul Burstow Lib MP of Sutton, Cheam & Worcester Park.

Yet another positive reply:-

Thank you for your recent communication received during the Parliamentary recess.

Thank you for contacting me about obstructive sleep apnoea.

I am grateful for your details of this condition and have passed your letter to Jackson Carlaw MSP, the Scottish Conservatives health spokesman and our health research team (your personal details were removed). I fully support your campaign to raise awareness of this condition.

We will investigate the British Lung Foundation’s charter and consider whether there are any points which can be taken forward in the Scottish Parliament in due course. If there are any shortcomings which can be found in the NHS’s treatment and diagnosis processes we will be pleased to raise these issues with the Scottish Government.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact me on this issue.

With kind regards.

Yours sincerely,

Annabel M Goldie MSP
West of Scotland Region

Our MP, David Lidington (Aylesbury), has just emailed me with a PDF copy of the response he received from Jeremy Hunt, Secretary of State for Health.

The response seems encouraging; at least it acknowledges that OSA is regarded with some importance and is being given a high priority. I will forward the email to Kath - no doubt Jeremy Hunt will be replying in similar fashion to the other MPs who have contacted him.

Got it thanks Bill, and have attached it here

Got it thanks Bill, and a copy is here:-

More responses coming in - Sutton Cheam & Worcester Park , and these are just the ones we're hearing of, so there must be lots of others, which is great news :)

Hi,

I wrote a paragraph about my experiences of OSA to my MP, and appended the British Lung Foundation's form letter. I received a prompt reply through the post (attached).

Jonathan.
