Sleep Apnoea Forum Bringing Help + Support to the Patient

We got a new dog last week (Northern Inuit). Some idiot in our house left our bedroom door open yesterday, and the dog chewed my mask (Opus 360) to bits. I used another mask last night, and phoned the clinic first thing this morning. The nurse was actually made up, as she had the Phillips rep out yesterday, who had left a sample of the new GoLife mask, and she needed someone to try and review it for them, and as I was using the Opus 360, I was ideal. I went straight up there, and was given a new spare hose, a Phillips GoLife mask AND an Opus 360 mask to keep as spare... So the Respiratory Lab in our local hospital gets 5 stars for service. :)

Lol. Our labrador comes nowhere near my masks. He's probably frightened I might make him wear it, as I'm sure he has OSA!

Good service you have there Darryl. You'll have to let us know what you think to the GoLife, which is getting good feedback. I tested it and was impressed if only I could train myself to nose-breathe.

On the subject of naughty dogs, this webpage is about a book written by the owner of a British Inuit dog. The dog earned the nickname of The Destroyer! Yes he was a naughty dog, but lovely - I have met him.

I have to admit, Nala is usually non destructive... She must just like the taste of nasal masks! deranged creature, lol

Kath, I thought my dog may have OSA because he snores but then read that animals can't get sleep apnea due to their bone structure. Anyway they can sleep all day and night if they want to, lol.

I read that too Terry, but I'm sure he has.  Wonder if they've ever done a study on a dog :D

Mine hates going to the vet and would hate anything on his face, he would have to be knocked out to do the study which may defeat the purpose.

Ours does too..... he embarrasses us by barking like mad.  He starts shaking as we're going up the path.  I try to tell them at the vet's that at home he's so placid, but am sure they don't believe me.

Airsense 10 -humidifier runs dry
